Test and Toll Lab
With 80 years of experience in the material processing business, Prater-Sterling has the knowledge and expertise to get the job done right, on time, every time! Prater's sales and engineering groups work closely with customers to find the perfect solution for their processing requirements. Prater's extensive test database often allows Prater to provide preliminary pricing and delivery schedules within one or two days of receipt of product.
If testing is necessary, our state-of-the-art testing facility allows for quick turn-around providing customers with the information they need. Our Analytical Laboratory provides accurate characterization of the feed and finished materials using current sieving and laser technologies.
If tolling is required, Prater now has test and toll facilities scattered throughout northern Illinois to better serve you. Our extensive portfolio of capabilities encapsulates processing of industrial and food grade material by particle size reduction (ranging from six inches down to 10 micron), sifting/scalping, briquetting/compacting, mixing, reprocessing and packaging of customers' materials. Prater has taken another large step by adding a food-grade facility that is FDA inspected, Kosher approved, has an AIB superior rating, full HACCP and quality systems.
