Air Classifiers - Information

The MAC Forced Vortex units process dry materials to exceptional fineness and uniformity over a wide range of feed variations, either in closed-circuit with a conventional milling system, or as independent “stand alone” systems incorporating feeder, fan and product collection equipment.

Such superior performance is due in part to a design that ensures feed material enters the classifying vortex unimpeded by re-circulating coarse fractions.

The MAC can be installed in existing air systems with a minimum of modification. Units are available in a wide variety of sizes in either mild or stainless steel. Optional equipment includes ceramic rotors and abrasion-resistant steel, rubber, polyurethane or ceramic linings.

The Minisplit Classifier was developed specifically for research “semi-tech” and small-scale production applications. Its low noise operation makes the Minisplit a preferred option for smaller working spaces, and its compact size allows portability. All contact parts are made from stainless steel, reducing down time and maintenance costs, and increasing operational life.

Through the addition of interchangeable components, the Minisplit can be onverted into an Opposed Jet fluid energy micronising system, complete with integral classifier, for the size reduction of a wide range of materials. The capacities of feed and finished product bins can be adjusted to meet individual customer requirements.

The Minisplit operates under suction, promoting a dust-free environment, and it can be easily incorporated into a feeder, classifier and/or product collection system.
