Rotary Airlocks can be configured for most application requirements. By manufacturing custom built rotary airlocks with larger pockets (up to 50% more volume), our airlocks can run at lower speeds. This minimizes air leakage, provides the benefit of longer life, and higher return on investment. Knowing that temperature plays a significant role in the operation of rotary airlock feeder, ALL Prater airlocks are carefully machined for actual operating temperature at no additional cost.

Dust Collector Series (DCS)
An economical, competitively priced valve that’s suited for general use under dust collectors, cyclones, and hoppers. With standard features most competitors call heavy-duty, all DCS airlocks boast 8 blade rotors, precision machining, and rugged cast iron housings for efficient operation.

Heavy-Duty (PAV) Series
The C/S is an ideal choice for handling many dry, free-flowing powders where a pressure differential exists, such as when feeding pneumatic conveying lines. Optional coatings and materials of construction are available for handling abrasive or corrosive materials. High temp kits for up to 1000° F service.

Ceramic Series Airlock
Our most durable valve, the ceramic series is most often chosen to handle highly abrasive products, such as alumina, coke, fly ash, and glass frit, achieving at least three (3) to five(5) times longer life compared to chrome and Ni-hard valves. A high-performance, thick wear layer of alumina ceramic coating maintains the valve’s precision tolerances longer.

Quick-Take-Apart Series (QTA)
Made for applications where frequent removal of the valve internals is required. The QTA permits tool-less removal of the rotor and end plate as one piece, eliminating the time-consuming step of “gapping” the rotor during re-assembly. There are no guide rails that require additional maintenance.
